Moving from Copilot

Nothing about your editor changes: both are VS Code extensions, so there is no new application to install and no settings to port. You do not have to choose, either - the two do not conflict, and keeping a Copilot seat for completions while using VibeFree for multi-file work is a reasonable setup. If the plan is to drop the subscription, the thing to test first is whether you actually miss the completions, because that is the feature VibeFree has no answer to.

What VibeFree does not do

No inline completion. Nothing appears as you type. This is the single biggest difference, and for a lot of Copilot users it is the whole product.
No pull-request summaries, no gh copilot CLI, and no presence on GitHub.com - VibeFree lives in the editor only.
No enterprise controls: no SSO, no policy management, no audit log, no content-exclusion rules.
Ads. A short sponsored card appears in the chat panel. That is what replaces the $10 a month.

Most of them also have a free tier, and the column says so - what it does not give is the current cap, because vendors retune those far more often than they change a price. What it does not do is inline completion: nothing appears as you type. If tab completion is the part of Copilot you use, VibeFree does not replace it.
